Type-2 Diabetes Medication Actos Linked to Bladder Cancer
Actos is a Type-2 diabetes medication taken either alone or used in conjunction with other drugs such as insulin and metformin.
Actos lowers blood glucose levels in order to allow patients to have increased sensitivity to insulin.
The Food and Drug Administration issued a warning to patients that if Actos is taken for more than a year, it could greatly increase the risk of bladder cancer.
