Spiva recognized
for community involvement
Honor/award: Howard Spiva was presented the John Miller Community Service Award during the Savannah Bar Association’s Law Day Awards.
For more than 12 years, his foundation “Justice for Children” has provided thousands of free bike helmets to local children, and he has sponsored a number of community events to educate parents that accidents can be prevented.
In 2011, he has received these awards:
• 2011 Outstanding Service To The Community Award — Savannah Bar Associations.
• 2011 Community Service Award — Georgia Trial Lawyers Association.
• 2011 Justice Robert Benham Award for Community Service — The State Bar of Georgia and the Supreme Court Justice Council.
