Hello Friends:
As you may recall from 2011... as part of our karate class and training at the West Broad Street YMCA we occasionally attend karate tournaments.
Last year we took a van load of kids to the battle of Atlanta and they cleaned up on trophies! You can watch a demonstration on the internet here: http://youtu.be/QQnwi-PIFIQ
The "Savannah Sharks" karate class, is a non-profit venture to train inner city children and no fees are charged by us.
We recognize a commitment by the students for a common goal of personal improvement through martial arts. We are dedicated to guiding the students on this wonderful and exciting path.
LIFE SKILLS OF KARATE. Throughout training, students continue to improve themselves mentally as well as physically.
these kids have trained hard for the pat 18+ months.
Life skills which are an important part of the Karate class include: attention, concentration, confidence, courage, courtesy, discipline, dignity, honor, integrity, loyalty, perseverance, positive attitude, respect, responsibility, self-control, self-Esteem, and pride in oneself. These lessons lead to success in life.
