TOM BRADY ~ Unconditional Love

TOM BRADY ~ Unconditional Love

January 30, 2012 was Tom’s last day;
Please listen close to the words I am about to say.

Carl, Clay, Chris, Keith, Justice, Stuart, Josh, David and John, his grandsons …today they will carry him out;
Describing Tom is what this poem is about.

We have gathered to honor Tom and make a toast;
Kelly said Howard; remember we are in Church so avoid a roast.

If you knew Tom, these truths you surely know;
You couldn’t stop him with rain, nor sleet, or even snow.

He always stayed focused and pursued his course;
He served his country in the U.S. Air Force.

Irish and Catholic were his heritage;
55 years he served his family and his marriage.

Knights of Columbus, St Patrick’s, American Legion,
and the Irish Hibernian Society;
He served, yet never sought notoriety.

At Benedictine, he played on the basketball courts;
Georgia Southern and the Fighting Irish, he loved his sports.

The Post office and Georgia Ports at the ILA,
Working hard and providing was clearly Tom’s way.

I know our loss of Tom hurts like a Punch;
But did you do know, he created the real Brady Bunch?

Dew Drop, Vaden, American stamp & Dino’s Den, are a few places he earned extra pay,
Many didn’t know Tom often worked both night and day.

His work, his sports, his children and his wife;
He served and loved them all his life.

The lesson from Tom which we cannot bury (berry);
Be kind to everyone, you never know the burden they carry.

Now that he is in Heaven above;
Let’s remember and not forget Tom’s unconditional Love.

We all want to keep Tom in our minds and heart,
I hope with my little poem, I have done my part.

As my poem nears its end today;
I have very important words to say.

I know his many struggles brought us tears,
Yes, Tom fought hard the last few years.

Dee, Alicia, Kelly, Marie, Tommy, John and Kevin,
Don’t worry, Tom’s at peace in Heaven.

Here is something I want to tell you all,
Today Tom has both his legs and he’s standing tall.

My words today are intended to make you Calm,
In closing, we love you Tom.
