New Law School Opening in Savannah by August

Dec 8, 2011 - Atlanta's John Marshall Law School announced today that the American Bar Association's (ABA) Council on Legal Education and Admissions has approved its application to open a branch campus in Savannah beginning next Fall 2012.

Howard E. Spiva was named in Georgia Trend magazine's December 2011 edition of "Legal Elite" listing Georgia's top attorneys.
Of more than 34,000 lawyers licensed to practice in Georgia,330 attorneys were slected in eight practice areas. Howard was one of only 32 lawyers statewide named in the practice catagory of Personal Injury.
Howard Spiva was chosen by his peers of attorneys across Georgia for this recognition.

Ga. Supreme Court Disbars 2 For Using Runners

ATLANTA (AP) The Supreme Court of Georgia has disbarred two personal injury lawyers who paid non-lawyers to refer clients to them.
In a 5-to-2 decision announced Wednesday, the court said that although law partners Steve Freedman and Thomas Sinowski had no prior disciplinary history, their misconduct involved more than 1,300 cases.

It is disingenuous for the Mayor to claim he was bamboozled

It is disingenuous for the Mayor to claim he was bamboozled into believing that we were there to only discuss "potential risks of improper tree maintenance".
1) Several prior letters and notices to the Mayor, City Manager and every council person set out our injury claim.
a) Our first correspondence months ago was the notice of the injury claim;
b) Our second request was for a meeting with the Mayor and the City manager;
